The Dining Room |
The Dining Room is a meeting place. Excellent
food is served giving residents an opportunity to enjoy good
conversation. There is a very large picture window overlooking the
Gulf Islands and the water activity in and out of Chemainus Harbour.
There is even wildlife to be seen, the occasional deer trot by and
eagles are an everyday event. We are starting to have a rather large
community of Quail scooting amongst the wild flowers.
MEALS
Coffee and tea are available in the kitchen first thing in the morning
(feel free to come in your housecoat).
Breakfast is served at 8:30 a.m. and consists of a selection of fruit
juices, muffins, pastries, toast, cereal, oatmeal, eggs, tea, coffee,
and, of course, the morning newspaper!
If you have special needs with regard to foods, just let us know and
arrangements will be made.
Refreshments such as juice, cookies, fresh fruit, tea and coffee
are available all day. |
 |
Dinner is served at 5:30 p.m. The meat or fish selection
varies with the "catch of the day" but is always wholesome
and delicious.
Friends and family are always welcome and may join us for afternoon
tea or the occasional meal.
This summer we had our first annual Hawaiian Luau with pineapple
drinks,
coconuts, kebabs, even a few grass skirts! |
